Little out of the way if traveling through, but definitely worth it. Catfish was fresh and delicious. Fresh coleslaw was 10x better than KFC. Service was friendly and quick. Plus, they offer a 10% military discount.
I cried. They served me catfish, which was delicious and white beans. The beans took me back to my childhood so quickly I just simply cried. Best meal that I have had in a long time. 10 out of 10. I definitely recommend!
This is unlike other catfish restaurants (Willow Pond of Paducah & Eddyville or The Pond in Hardin) in that they do not bring out all-you-can-eat hushpuppies and white beans prior to your meal. The white beans and hushpuppies are a side item. It also took a lot longer to get our food than the other restaurants. However, the waitresses were super nice and kept our drinks filled. We started out with the fried pickle fries. We got the 2 & 3 piece Pond raised catfish filet dinners and both got fries. Since we don't like coleslaw, they let us substitute it for another cup of white beans. The hushpuppies were pretty good. While they were sold out of most of their dessert selections, they did have peanut butter pie and chess pie left. The peanut butter pie was amazing! We would definitely come back.
Delicious catfish cooked perfectly! I drove 30 minutes to eat here and was not disappointed. The star of the show though has to be the white beans and hush puppies…. Fantastic flavor! I would come back again to just eat the beans and hush puppies!
This place has great food, service and a very inviting atmosphere! The food was hot and had a lot of flavor. We went yesterday, Memorial Day weekend and received a veteran discount. Not sure if they offer it all the time but I thought it was great that they support military veterans. More tip for the waitress... :) Thank you for the great experience as always!
A nice, clean restaurant, with that hole-in-the-wall vibe. The menu was simple, but not basic. The fish was good, the sides and appetizers were good. The service was excellent. However, what surprised me was the hush puppies. They claim to have "legendary" hush puppies.... They are right! I like hush puppies, but I have never craved them, until now. It's hard to describe, they are fried similar to funnel cakes instead of balls and they taste so good! This is a great restaurant and I thought recommend you give it a try.
A must stop for any adventure tourist or individual seeking quality meal and fellowship. The ladies that serve here are earnest hard-working and keep this restaurant spic and span. I do believe they put an extra dose of love into each serving they make. They are conscientious about checking allergies and making sure the ingredients suit the diets of the diners! What does serene setting to have a peaceful quiet meal. Plenty of parking and ornate signage includes a fishing boat both outside and inside as the cashier station. Very clean restrooms
